Prospective Grantees

Thank you for your interest in the Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation. You will find answers to frequently asked questions below.

What types of grant requests align with the Glaze Foundation?

Our foundation is actively refining our funding focus and provides grants to support work aligned with at least one funding priority within our revised pillars: Empowered People, Vibrant Places, and Sustained Environment. Visit our What We Fund page to learn more about our funding priorities within each pillar.

What types of requests are not eligible?

Sponsorships
We do not provide funding for sponsorships for activities, events, or programs

Individuals
We do not provide grants, donations, or personal loans to individuals

Religious Focused Requests
We do not provide funding for inherently religious purposes. However, we do provide funding to faith-based organizations applying for non-religious charitable purposes and that do not require religious participation from those they serve.

What organizations are eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for funding, your organization:

  • Must be a US nonprofit organization with current 501(c)3 status or an Irish Registered Charity.
  • Must be headquartered in and primarily serve one of the counties listed in our geographic focus area, or provide a unique service in one of these counties.
  • Must not require religious participation from those you serve

Does the Glaze Foundation focus on a certain geographic area?

The Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation focuses its funding in Northeast Indiana, County Mayo, Ireland, and Ohio’s Wayne and Seneca counties. Visit our Where We Invest page to learn more.

How do I apply for funding?

The Ardelle and Theresa Glaze Foundation invites new organizations and returning grantees to submit preliminary proposals for review on a quarterly basis. Organizations with the strongest preliminary proposals are invited to submit full applications. Both the preliminary proposal and application stages are competitive, and we unfortunately are not able to support every funding request.

New Organizations
If your organization meets our eligibility criteria and is new to the Glaze Foundation, please fill out this form to assess alignment. We will follow up within two weeks to offer guidance on potential alignment. If we perceive alignment, we will provide next steps ahead of our next grant round. The next grant round open to new organizations will take place in spring of 2027.

Returning Grantees
Current and past grantees should contact Lyndsey Glaze directly at lyndsey@glazefoundation.org to discuss additional funding requests.

Grantmaking Schedule Update
Starting in 2027, the Glaze Foundation will shift from quarterly giving to holding two grant rounds per year, one in the spring and one in the fall. We will share additional details on our funding priorities, process, and key dates for our 2027 grant cycles in late 2026.

Please keep in mind that we do not accept unsolicited proposals by email or mail and may not respond to these materials.
